“Straight Laced was awarded the Unilever prize for best work in the Open London Group biennial exhibition. Consisting of 120 bricks cast in scarlet lace, the work was inspired by the minimalist artist Carl Andre and his controversial brick sculpture “Equivalent V111, which was bought by the Tate in the mid- 1970s.”
